I believed the numbers selected in the region’s Midi Controller Programme Change are should link should link to the presets that I have created in my User Bank, and act like an Auxiliary bus on a mixer re-routing Track 2 audio into Track 3 instrument (where is is ‘processed’) and out to Stereo Out. Also I remember a while back reading about a plugin someone had made that was an emulation of the old Mackie vlz mixers inputs and designed to be abused and overdriven to mimic what was (long long ago) a pretty common way to. When I open GR5 on track 3 I expect to see the User Presets change as the cursor moves past the programme change … but no. Something like guitar rig can get you there pretty well or anything with a nice selection of distortion pedal emulations. I have selected ‘Programme Change’ from the drop down list and you may be able to see I have assigned Programme Number 1 in the first region and (not included in this screen shot) Programme Number 3 in the second region, all hoping that this would trigger the programme changes and guitar preset / sound. Now clicking on the first of those regions and moving on to the next screen shot below: You can see there are two regions in Track 3 called “Gtr Processing”.
Each pack comes stocked with 20 mix ready presets and 20 exclusive impulse responses to give you the. I want this Track 3 to be the Controller track which changes the Pre-Sets using Midi Automation. We are proud to present the 3SA Guitar Rig Collection. Below that I have inserted another Guitar Rig on an Instrument Track 3, which receives the signal from Bus 10 via the Sidechain (or rather it is supposed to, I cant get a signal coming through right at the moment!!). The screen shot above shows a song in audio track 1, and below that, Guitar Rig is inserted in audio track 2, routed out to (arbitrarily assigned!) Bus 10 - this track receives the live signal from my guitar via my interface. Here’s basically what doing which might be completely the wrong thing to do, but it makes sense to me: After importing the preset, you will find it in the User Presets. Note: you can only import one preset at a time. Navigate to the folder where you stored the preset. Huge thanks for that, but i’m still not quite ‘with it’ and hope you can stick with me here! I want to automate Guitar Rig Pre-Set changes ‘in the box’. Open the stand-alone version of GUITAR RIG PRO.
